Books I Thought Seattle Was Getting Sexier

8592/1236983416-library_bar.jpg 10 Things Zine reminds me that this weekend is the 14th annual Association of College and Research Libraries convention. This year, they're convening in downtown Seattle at the Convention Center. Speakers include Naomi Klein, Sherman Alexie, and Ira Glass. It's not open to the public, but you know what this means, don't you?

It means that downtown Seattle's bars are going to be packed with drunken sexy, sexy librarians! 10TZ is hosting an alternative conference for zine librarians, too. Zine librarians are also sexy, although often below legal drinking age.

If you manage to fulfill your librarian fantasies this weekend, I would like for you to remember me in your will, please.

For the record, 10 Things (i.e. me) isn't hosting the Zine Librarians Conference, ZAPP in the Richard Hugo House is. But I did curate the zine exhibit that's currently in the lobby of the graduate library lobby at the University of Washington. (Oh, and thanks for writing about librarians, they surely don't get enough press and right now are getting their budgets slashed left and right, they need support)

I fulfill my librarian fantasies regularly. My man is a sexy librarian. He runs with a pretty wild pack of sexy librarians who sure know how to party.
