Another bowling alley (see Leilani Lanes, Sunset Bowl, and many, many others) bites the dust. The auction is taking place right now.

back in my hometown you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a thriving bowling alley.

I had heard the owners of the land jacked up the lease rate on the business, effectively cutting them off. They worry about this occasionally at Imperial Lanes in Seattle, too, but that lease is still good for another year or two.
