I just finished watching "The Sweet Smell of Success" and couldn't help but think that Dan Savage is a modern real life version of J.J. Hunsecker...whose daily column of tidbits and gossip controlled an army of 60 million loyal readers.

Also every other line is quotable.

Example:

Sidney Falco to Rita: I some times get the impression you live in Starbright Park. This is life. Get used to it!

Oh. Dan was a theatre major at U of I; and also was here on Monday (i.e., when he took that picture). Had I had my druthers, I would've walked over and said 'hi'. Or maybe just lurked and taken pictures. Oh well ... Dan, you and Ang Lee deserve a place up on the "Wall of Old Male White Fame" in the union.
