Science Not All Bad News

One of the many good things that are happening in our post-Bush world.

President Obama is planning to sign an executive order on Monday rolling back restrictions on federal funding of human embryonic stem cell research, according to sources close to the issue.

Although the exact wording of the order has not been revealed, the White House plans an 11 a.m. ceremony to sign the order repealing one of the most controversial steps taken by his predecessor, fulfilling one of Obama's eagerly anticipated campaign promises.

And here is another spot of good news:

...[B]ecause of the budget crises... the New York State legislature is close to scrapping the draconian Rockefeller drug laws which, by imposing mandatory sentences rather than rehab treatment, has kept so many drug users in prison for years.

@ 5 How about you worry about yourself and let others run their own fucking lives. If you don't like stem cell research, don't get the treatments it will provide. If you don't like abortion, don't fucking get one. KEEP YOUR PHONY, HYPOCRITICAL, BULLSHIT RELIGION TO YOURSELF!!!
