What: The opening of the Poster of the Week poster show, inspired by The Stranger's long-running POTW column. Curated by yours truly and the fine folks at Vermillion.
Where: Vermillion, 1508 11th Ave, between Pike & Pine, vermillionseattle.com
When: One week from tonight! Thursday, March 12, 6 pm—late. The show continues through the rest of the month.
What else: Music? Maybe. Drinks and food? As usual, in Vermillion's bar. Plus a ton of posters, many of them limited-edition screen prints, by Seattle's best designers. More info to come...

Yes, Music: The Chandelears and Pillow Army are doing acoustic sets.
Also featuring two local artists: Troy Gua who shows Pop Icon Hybrids and Cait Willis is showing Roller Derby paintings.

I'd put links for all but I don't think slog allows many links.

Some background: I've always been a fan of handmade posters and was really glad when the Poster of the Week column was started.

So we're showing as many as we can round up because I've agreed with many of the previous choices that The Stranger highlighted and always wanted to know who was behind the graphic design. A lot of them made me want to see bands I had never heard of. And its how I found the person who did our logo (Olivv).
