Fight over: Michael Steele has returned his tongue to Rush Limbaugh's ass.

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele says he has reached out to Rush Limbaugh to tell him he meant no offense when he referred to the popular conservative radio host as an “entertainer” whose show can be “incendiary.”

“My intent was not to go after Rush—I have enormous respect for Rush Limbaugh,” Steele said in a telephone interview. “I was maybe a little bit inarticulate. … There was no attempt on my part to diminish his voice or his leadership.” ... “I went back at that tape and I realized words that I said weren’t what I was thinking,” Steele said. "It was one of those things where I thinking I was saying one thing, and it came out differently. What I was trying to say was a lot of people… want to make Rush the scapegoat, the bogeyman, and he’s not."

“I’m not going to engage these guys and sit back and provide them the popcorn for a fight between me and Rush Limbaugh,” Steele added. “No such thing is going to happen. … I wasn’t trying to slam him or anything.”

Dan, we have to admire your diligent and persistent efforts to distract slog from the economy crashing down around our ears with multiple posts of this trivia.

Wow. That was fast...Goes to show who is really in charge. I hope Steele doesn't have to step down soon because he needs "family time". Hahaha

Is this a stealth project to associate gay analinguists with rightwingers? That's what I would call a smear campaign. Ha ha! Bet they won't put up with that kind of shit from you! Ha ha ha!

I crack me up. Gotta go Sonicare my tongue now.

What a scrotum. Now he is going to be derisively called "Limbaugh's Bitch" by Hughley, and rightly so. Hilarious. So much for the possibility of a backbone.

For someone who opposes civil unions and gay marriage, Steele has no problem bending over and spreading for the pudgy pillpopper.

I love that Steele apparently doesn't know what the fuck is coming out of his stupid pie hole. What a useless waste. Stupid, the lot of 'em.

just when you think the repugs can't get any less credible...they wow us anew. there's no disagreement allowed among them. those who disagree (i.e. christopher buckley) just leave, thus making it exclusively the party of the talibangelists, ditto heads and confederates. bitter little minority party. you must obey--achtung! how nice for them.

@Obama's Stock Market crash is a GREAT THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY OBAMA IS DOING THIS TO THE COUNTRY!!!! EVERYTHING WAS FINE 6 MONTHS AGO!!

Dude, don't even try to put this one on the current President. Things will get worse before they get better, and it took almost 25 years for the market to regain its pre-Great Depression value.
