You've got ~10 minutes to get to Stumptown for a free 8oz cup of their tasty french press of the day. Don't worry though, if you can't make it today, each Monday from 9-10am, Stumptown is offering a free cup of "Hey Recession, FU". The cups are stamped "Hey Recession FU". Nice touch.

Hurry!

Stumptown says "Hey Recession, we gotta get new customers in the door somehow." And they don't need a press agent when the Stranger office is so near.

I love the fact that companies are giving the recession the finger while the media let's us all know that hope is fucked.

I know who I'm listening to.

Stumptown has great coffee and this is a nice gesture, but as #3 says, this is more a sign of recession than a "FU" to it. No recession = people buy $6 fancy espresso drinks twice a day. Recession = people line up for giveaway plain brew.

The warm feeling I get when someone is
thoughtful enough to say thank you for having been helped faroutweighs the empty one I get when there's no feedback at all. It's a nice place to share my thoughts. I'm willing to stick around here and watch it grow. As i also want to learn how to grow mine.
