I Hope This Comes to SIFF

Robot 6 just posted a trailer for an Australian short film adaptation of the comic book Street Angel. Here it is:

If you read comics, you should totally read Street Angel. It's about a kickass teenage homeless girl who skateboards and fights ninjas. The city calls her in to save the day when they're in real trouble, kind of like Batman. It's published by Slave Labor Graphics, and it reminds me of the kind of thrill I get when I read early Flaming Carrot comics. There's more information about the comic book here.

Holy Crap! This is the best news I've heard since they said it's not malignant!

But, seriously, Street Angel is a great comic and I am absolutely floored that they're making a movie.

The Seattle Public Library has the trade paperback collection of issues #1-5. But you'll have to wait until I'm done with it...

God, that looks horrible. And the "12 year old" looks to be about 30.
