Of Course It Was

Posted by on Wed, Feb 11, 2009 at 1:59 PM

The P-I's 911 Blog reports that a Metro bus driver was arrested for selling crack on his route.

Which route would that be? The 42, which has a well-deserved reputation for being unpleasant, stinky, dangerous, and eternally late. (Not as dangerous, however, as the 7, which logged 15 calls for service in 2007, or the 174, which had almost 30). Metro plans to eliminate the 42 once light rail opens in June of this year.

Does 80% of the buscrack go to the suburbs, then?

Aha, that's why they put the light rail down Rainier Avenue!!

The Seattle Times reports that the arrest was indeed on the 42. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/lo…

Maybe they can get Kimya Dawson to sing Who's Got the Crack at the opening ceremonies for light rail.

Maybe ST can redo one of their "themed stations" so that, for example, the street lights can be clear glass crack pipes.

So, that is why my bus was 45 minutes late the other day.

I blame the "free ride zone."

Does anyone know which Metro route I would take to get some acid? They should have that information on the metrokc trip planner.

If you were a reporter, you'd find out.

That's my route and I'm really hoping it's not my regular driver---he may be crazy (talks to himself, laughs maniacally for no apparent reason) but he's always in a good mood and is a stickler for being on time. I guess I'll find out in the morning!

I'm also really upset that they're dropping my route, everything else requires waiting for a transfer downtown to get to work, which often takes forever.

Everyone knows you don't sell it until you get to Redmond or Kent.

Geesh - show some class, bus driver!

How many transfers do you think it takes to get a vial?

LOL @8

The routes would get informative nicknames. "To get there from here, you take the Acid to 3rd and Pine, and then hop the E to Beacon. Alternatively, you can take the tunnel to the ID and get on the Ganja from there."
