An Iraqi woman had80 other women raped and then recruited them as suicide bombers by claiming that "martyrdom was the only way to escape the shame" of rape.
Between this and the article I read today stating that the number of vets who killed themselves last month was higher than the number of soldiers killed in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan last month....yes, I need a drink or seven.

Samira Jassam is one serious bad-ass motherfucker. I'm equally impressed by her utter ruthlessness and disgusted by her cruelty. It's a damn shame that the hell she no doubt believes in doesn't exist, since she's the poster child for going there.

I can sure judge the Iraqi police, though. They're always in trouble with Human Rights Watch for failing to swear off torturing and raping people in custody. Makes me wonder how accurate the details of this woman's confession may be.

nytimes ran the story. the, they were raped version, was not confirmed. the times also mentioned other stories put forth by us military that turned out to be flat out lies. chances are this one is a lie as well, but i agree, if true is beyond depressing.
how can someone be so fucked up so evil and cause so much destruction? and people wonder why i can't stand most people. this is so disgusting it makes me want to vomit. seriously.
HeidiFleissIsMyMom you are an idiot. You SHOULD judge other people's cultural nuances if they are plain disgraceful to civilisation, as most of islam's "nuances" are. Not judging them and being politically correct is how the world got into this mess in the first place.
Wow - within one 24 hour news cycle I stumble upon a post about women being raped into a life of terror at SLOG and a post about men being raped into a life of terror at Bilerico:
