Books I Still Can't Get the Hang of the Daily Beast...

...but they have a new page called The Book Beast, which seems like the sort of thing I should pay attention to. When Arianna Huffington was in town she promised (threatened?) that there would be a book page on the Huffington Post soon, but that page still hasn't materialized.
The Beast's book page is pretty uninteresting right now: It's mostly news about establishment authors (Updike and Mailer, of course, and also Dave Barry and Malcolm Gladwell and John Grisham. (Which I guess is pretty unsurprising considering it's coming from Tina Brown.) There's nothing here to keep me coming back. I still prefer Bookninja, thanks.
