You Can Shave the Freakish White Baby.

Posted by on Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 1:45 PM

The obvious question: Does this Asian toy manufacturer believe that secretly, underneath our clothes, white people are magical goaty fauns of legend? If I passed him on the street, would he look at me and see Mister Fucking Tumnus in a human suit? And think, "Stupid white goat woman. Does she really believe she is fooling me with her shaving and her normal human clothing?"

Thanks to NaFun for the image.

I'm gonna use this as my G-rated way of telling people to fuck off. "You can shave the baby!"

I would just like to point out that I don't think you can shave the baby without some serious legal consequences.

Is this what people mean when they talk about their "baby hair?"

You can view other works of art from the same program: http://www.raster.art.pl/gallery/artists…

The disappointment of learning it's not really on the market is worth it once you see what other crazy things are on there!

People of European descent really are pretty hairy, you have to admit. Even the "smooth" ones.

He's not the only one, but yes.

The answer to your questions? Yes.

@6 My former roommate had one of these! Really!

I had no idea it was only one of 10 produced, and I'm sure he didn't either. I have no idea how he acquired it. I'll give him a call later and find out. I hope he still has it.

By the way, we elected NOT to Shave the Baby.

First of all, there are a lot of crazy collectors of crazy ass toys out there. Secondly, chimps in the womb are similarly covered in fur in the same areas. Just an observation.

@15,

Yes, but it isn't collectible unless you have the original box it came in. Or so the Antiques Roadshow keeps insisting.

I have totally known people who were hairier than that. And not all of them were male, either.

It is obviously an art piece. You can see here: http://www.raster.art.pl/gallery/artists…

(ps. I have seen quite a few Chinese women who DO have hair on their legs, and don't shave it...)
