Dolph Lundgren Better Be Attached

Posted by on Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 5:22 PM

Dear all you people who got offended when I said that Transformers was a bad movie and that G.I. Joe looked awful:

There is going to be a live action He-Man movie, directed by the guy who did Kung Fu Panda. What a spectacular idea!

Have a great weekend!
(heart,)
Paul Bobby

I need to rent this soon and relive the glory of the '80s. Hot, sweaty muscle men, pseudo-drag queens (Evil Lynn!) and misfit of science herself, Courtney Cox.

And also because Grant Morrison in a recent interview made an unusual connection between this film and Jack Kirby's NEW GODS that, frankly, made my head spin just a wee bit.

We're sure that Thundercats trailer was a spoof right? Because these things just keep getting more and more shit-tacular.

p.s. There already was a He-Man movie made back in the 80's.

Y.F. You might want to actually fully read this post again (Paul mentions the lead actor) or I don't know..maybe watch the video he posted before thinking you have something to add?

This trend of 1980s toy commercials adapted into movies for intellectually retarded 30-40somethings to drag their otherwise indifferent kids to* has to be stopped, whether by Congressional action or Presidential executive order. Maybe the US military could invade and seize Hollywood? I'd prefer a non-military solution, if possible.

"See, honey? Just like all Daddy's dollies from when he was your age, over there in the display case! No, you can't touch them, they cost Daddy a fortune on eBay!"

*it started with the Star Wars prequels, technically
