Posted by on Wed, Jan 28, 2009 at 11:45 AM

Or is he a straight man with Pepsi issues?

This ad, of course, has the the religious right's panties all in a wad.

PepsiCo owns Naked Juice. Let's see a gay themed add for that!

So, drinking Pepsi makes you gay?

Gotta love Pepsi basically telling these losers to fuck off. It seems like only yesterday most major corporations would have caved on something like this.

That's a great commercial. Beautiful double fake. I'll have to go to a gay bar and see if it works both ways! :)

I would be happier about this commercial if the guy on the right didn't look so disgusted at the end...

Remember, Pepsi isn't owned by the Mormons.

The Religious Right always has its panties in a bunch. Do these people ever unclench?

I guess that's why they are always screwing each other - all that frustration has to come out somewhere.

Love it. Both because the ad is funny and well done, and also because the wingnuts are in a twist over it. Double win.

I'm sure glad the AMERICAN family association is getting all activisty over an advertisement that ran on television ... in ENGLAND.

@6 - his "disgusted" friend is the one who gave him the Pepsi in the first place. He just put it right in the guy's hand and let him put his mouth on it.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Pepsi's OK, but I like it better now because of this commercial.

Yeah, I thought your arm was going to fall off Dan, or should these posts be ending with "dictated but not read"

The American Family Association is no more representative of religious people, even right-wing religious people, than NAMBLA is of gays. They're a kook organization designed specifically for expressing outrage that pretty much no one gives a shit about. By paying attention to them, you're feeding them.

Guess I'll buy some pepsi.

What the f@KC does that American Family Association care about an ad from the UK?

Anyway, the ad is pretty great. And so is Pepsi.

On behalf of the non-religious, non-homophobic masses who can't be bothered with a boycott like this: YAY!!! More high-fructose corn syrup for the rest of us!

I thought is was great.

Maybe, they are trying to distract the masses from the TH stories, and the recent conviction of Stephen McPherson {former assistant dean of Regent Univ. Law School, part of Regent University (founded by Pat Robertson)}, who pleaded guilty to sexually abusing girls in his care.

@23- Seriously, bookish girl was super cute. And when she takes off her glasses and shakes off her hair, you know her breasts get just as big as the blonde's.

Generally- It was a pretty basic gag. The only reason it's funny is because of homophobia.

And looking at Bookish girl again, you'll note that her hair cut is a Betty Page. Bookish Girls with Betty Page haircuts WILL fuck your nuts dry.

@ 6, I agree this would have been much funnier and less homophobic if his friends would have been in the know about who the Pepsi drinker was really after! The disgusted look rather ruined it for me.

Just a classic bait and switch ad. I don't know why anyone would get offended.

Also, while bookish girl was hot, the second girl... well, boobs.
