Finding God

Posted by on Tue, Jan 27, 2009 at 3:52 PM

Seen on the Ave a moment ago.
b209/1233099212-picture_16.jpg We at The Stranger not only hate animals (particularly penguins and pit bulls), we also hate the maker of these creatures.

What creatures? That sign has been up for over a year and they are just now starting to work on it. I looked it up shortly after the sign appeared and it does appear in a restaurant review but it is the quote of a friend of the reviewer.

Do you think maybe penguins remind you of pregnant women?

Charles:

You really need to give the drugs and the booze a rest for a while. You're starting to see things that aren't there.

Yours truly,

What creatures? What are you talking about? Do you proofread anything you type?

Charlie!

You shouldn't extrapolate meaning out of half sentence quotes and present them as the truth ("I found god in some noodles" a quote in the stranger by someone outside the stranger /= the stranger hates god for many reasons), or make blanket statements that misrepresent your peers (I bet someone at the stranger at least doesn't HATE god).

Makes you look pretty crazy, think about reality vs. your conception of it the next time you make absolute statements.
