I'm liking the new whitehouse website, but the blog hasn't been updated in agesss.
I just checked out the presidential slideshow, though, and it looks like someone has their thumb on the lens for George W.'s photo. hehehe.

"Federal regulators have approved the first experiment testing human embryonic stem cells on people"

yeay, now the pharms can make pills from embryonic stem cells and we can eat our abortions as medicine!

In the day we sweat it out in the streets of a runaway Intarweb dream
At night we ride through mansions of glory in suicide machines
Sprung from cages out on Highway 9,
Chrome wheeled, fuel injected and steppin' out over the line
Baby this blog rips the bones from your back
It's a death trap, it's a suicide rap
We gotta get out while we're young
`cause trolls like us, baby we were born to Sulk

Wendy let me in I wanna be your friend
I want to guard your dreams and visions
Just wrap your legs round these velvet rims
And strap your hands across my engines
Together we could break this trap
We'll troll till we drop, baby we'll never go back
Will you troll with me out on the wire
`cause baby I'm just a scared and lonely rider
But I gotta find out how it feels
I want to know if Slog is wild, girl I want to know if Slog is real

Beyond the palace hemi-powered drones scream down the boulevard
The girls comb their hair in rearview mirrors
And the boys try to look so hard
The amusement park rises bold and stark
Kids are huddled on the beach in a mist
I wanna die with you Wendy on the streets tonight
In an everlasting kiss

The highway's jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive
Everybody's out on the run tonight but there's no place left to hide
Together Wendy we'll live with the sadness
I'll troll you with all the madness in my soul
Someday girl I don't know when we're gonna get to that place
Where we really want to go and we'll freak out like the Hulk
But till then trolls like us, baby we were born to Sulk

Yeah trolls like us, baby we were born to Sulk
Yeah trolls like us, baby we were born to Sulk
Yeah trolls like us, baby we were born to Sulk

I'm glad it's Gillibrand and not some legacy.

I am stunned that Paterson appointed conservative, pro-gun Gillibrand. Apparently a high percentage of New Yorkers are having conniption fits over this too. Amazing.

@14 Her district was far more conservative than the state as a whole. Don't be surprised if she starts shifting to the left.

Also: "Obama ends government funding ban for abortions." is not correct.

What he would lift is the gag rule that prevents funds from going to groups that offer abortions and prevents groups from duscussing abortion or providing abortion referrals.

US funds still could not be used to actually pay for them.

Still, this is huge.

Next up: lifting the ban on using federal funds for syringe exchange.

I am SO excited to see that arts funding is included in the proposed package. I was feeling upset that Obama was instituting a new New Deal sans the arts and humanities.

The drive by at Benaroya was caused by someone getting pissed off with the anti-criminal music that they played on the outside music system.
