Caroline's not quitting because of Teddy's health. Getting appointed to this seat and having her name, looks and wealth would have guaranteed her an open road to be a presidential contender in 2016. All she had to do was not fuck up, and help other candidates for a few years with fundraising, then boom! She's a national star.

There must be something BIG holding her back.

I do not accept the story that she is suddenly struck by "mommy track"-itis.

One detects subterranean doings, perhaps the subtle use of information by a rival-- if she stays in, something bad comes out.....

The seat will now go to the Gillibrand woman or the NY AG. Even if he's not picked for the seat just denying it to Caroline is a good motive for the AG to be involved.

So I'd say, "cui bono? Cuomo."

I'd look there.....this is geting more interesting than Foxy Knoxy.

Not yet apparently. There's speculation he might do it today as today's the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, but I haven't heard anything yet.
