Why I love this music video...


Here English functions not has a direct language but as a secondary one. It is a status symbol. The words "nobody, nobody but you" register the status of the work: it's a pop tune. The global language of a pop tune is English. If the words where French, they would not have that secondary (and dominant) meaning (a pop tune) but another one altogether. "I want nobody, nobody but you."
