Winning the War on Drugs

Posted by on Wed, Jan 14, 2009 at 9:26 AM

Keystone cops in Philly:

A DEA agent is at Temple University Hospital after being accidentally shot by a another agent [sic].

The DEA task force group and detectives with the Philadelphia police were executed a search warrant [sic]. They searched the home in connection with a crack cocaine investigation.

During the raid a dog attacked the officers and one of the officers shot the dog. One of those bullets meant for the dog accidentally struck John Douglass, a 12-year veteran of the drug enforcement division of the DEA.

Too bad things went wrong, but how could they have known that someone could wind up getting shot? That never happens in armed drug raids.

Alternatively, if Druggos weren't violating the law, the shooting wouldn't have happened.

Dom I'm with you against the war on drugs but I don't take glee in people getting shot, especially cops.

@3, I don't think this is glee about people getting shot. It's pointing out how stupid and dangerous these drug raids are.

And I'm betting the dog didn't attack anyone. They always shoot the dogs no matter what.
