Arts PNB Principal Ballerina Retires

Compact, intense, and steely, Louise Nadeau has been the yin to Ariana Lallone's exotic, gangly yang at Pacific Northwest Ballet—but no more. At 44 Nadeau's hanging up the shoes, KUOW reports.

louise is that rarity in the ballet world, a truly warm and kind person to everyone she meets. it was always a pleasure and delight to watch her dance. onward to new worlds, louise!

Louise has been my favorite dancer at PNB for years, and I'll miss her very much. I hope I can see her perform a couple more times before the end of the season.

I loved dancing with Louise in the early 90's...my favorite ballerina.
