Worst part is they file for only one specific church (the diocese they are in), not the total church that made the decisions in the first place ...

Sounds fair, they pay their taxes and are nonprofit so they can't blow money on extravagance like private helicopters for their pastors, right?

I've noticed lots of comments have been particularily harsh towards the contributers lately (more than usual, which in itself is more than usual).
What gives? New year's resolutions?

@7 it's Seattle Weekly staff. you'd think they'd post to their own blog but nobody, not even their own staff, reads the Daily Weekly. the threat of them losing their job this year has them all on edge.
