GUNG HAGGIS FAT CHOY - presented by the Caledonian & St. Andrew's Society of Seattle - A bi-cultural event, part Chinese, part Scottish, to celebrate both Robert Burns and Chinese New Year. Featuring the Chinese Youth Orchestra, Scottish pipe band, Haggis ceremony, Robert Burns poetry and music, and 8 course Chinese dinner. Are they going to make haggis? Real haggis? Because I thought it was illegal, as it typically contains cow lung, which is banned due to BSE concerns. I'd love to have some real haggis.

I don't think haggis has cow in it, but yeah, use of some sheep organs is restricted.

Hey, they've been having these up here in Vancouver for quite a while. I haven't managed to get to one, but I understand they're quite the happenin' shindig (if you can get with the trifecta of bagpipes, haggis & poetry).

Nice to see it spreading down south there. =) I recommend haggis won tons, personally. Realistically, it's just lamb meatloaf.
