Oh, Barfield, Will You Never Learn?

Posted by on Mon, Jan 12, 2009 at 4:28 PM

00_barfield_loses_his_lunch__front_cover.gifBarfield Loses his Lunch is a parody of Garfield. It's almost exactly the same sense of humor as Garfield, only with sex jokes and lots of other bodily function jokes added in. It gets a little monotonous in the middle, but it actually is a story with a beginning, middle and end, and at points it becomes a sad story of a man who loves animals way too much.

That was brilliant. Truly. I even laughed like three different times.

It actually was sort of poignant at the end.

I think the scariest thing about Barfield Loses His Lunch is that someone actually took the time to put it together. I mean, yeah, I laughed hardest at the fart jokes, and managed to take the sex jokes for what they were, but someone actually had to put in the time to think of the jokes, find the appropriate strips, and reformulate them for the new project.

And, well, if you cut the barfield part out of the URL and just look at the author's page, you'll see exactly what kind of twisted mind it takes, to the point that I think BLHL might be the lesser of his parodies.
