Drying Off

Posted by Christopher Frizzelle on Mon, Jan 12, 2009 at 2:00 PM

After being in a dishwasher for the last week or two, we are in for some dry, sunny days.

Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, it's 87 degrees.

As with all weather predictions for this area, I'll believe it when I see it, and not a second before.

You say that like it's normal to have dry sunny days in Seattle at this time of year ...

The resulting smog should be quite tasty.

Ah yes, Los Angeles. 87 degrees with a high chance of carbon monoxide exhaust-based smog, and rampant elitism. F*ck that.
Much prefer damp and gray, to hot, choking and celebrity-drenched any time.
And yes, I'm with Hernandez @1.

Will Don't Know Shit. High pressure systems that last for a week are common at this time of year. Recall, please, every occasion it has been ass-freezing cold and clear for days on end in January or February.

As a non-native LA-dweller, I actually preferred the cold weather. It was in the 60's a few days ago, the ascent to 87 was rapid. Oh well, no more trendy blazers...

The Cedar River is still making an emphatic, silty and high-leveled rush seaward underneath the Renton Library today. It's likely ready for a rest from all this as well.
