Community Organizer in Chief (Or: Where's My Moon?!?)

Posted by on Mon, Jan 12, 2009 at 10:12 AM

If you've been missing Barack Obama's calm, inspiring voice talking to you in the context of a 30-second television spot, miss it no longer:

One of Obama's many gifts is that he's the perfect narrator for an anxious, disgusted time. So even though it's somewhat odd to imagine a president (or president-elect) doing a lot of TV spots like this—even for a good cause like national service—as long as the country feels off-the-rails, I doubt anyone will complain.

Obama's like a very pretty present. Beautifully wrapped with ribbon and bows. Still, America might be in for a pleasant surprise or a very rude awakening.

Wow, his voiceover sounds like Leonard Nimoy circa "In Search Of".

Really raindrop? You're predicting that Obama's presidency either might go well, or might not go well? Are you some kind of genius from the future?
