Finally, we get to hear how Joe Wurzelbacher feels about the media's role in war. He's in Israel reporting for the conservative site Pajamas TV (?), manufacturers of Conservativism 2.0.
Well, with this guy on the case, I guess we know the Democrats will be out of power by the midterms. How do you argue with a mind like that? You can't.
PLEASE give this man more of a forum. If we ever needed more evidence of a public ready to strap on their jack boots and serve the all powerful (drunk, abusive) daddy government, here he is.
I hope he keeps talking and getting press. The only thing better than stupidity speaking up just enough to get called out and smacked down, is public, undeniable, un-retractable stupidity on tape speaking up loud enough to get smacked down.
More please. And weekly addresses from Palin. And a non-stop, publicly broadcast loop of Coulter telling that guy on CBS that she believes the increase of births out of wedlock is a liberal conspiracy.

maybe he should google:
ernie pyle
andy rooney
walter cronkite
john hershey
sam stavisky
basil clarke
Richard Dimbleby
J.C. Furnas
joe rosenthal
edward r murrow
alan moorehead
larry lesueur
hemingway
eric sevareid
oh the truth and its liberal bias.
what he should be mad at is that the media isn't (as) censored as it once was. in addition, the speed with which information can travel and be disseminated is about 100x what it was in world war one or two..
@24 Nope, I didn't know about the Clinton Doctrine. Turns out it's a scarcely used phrase from a few published articles and a Wikipedia article stub:
"The Clinton Doctrine is not a clear statement in the way that many other United States presidential doctrines were."
I would bet that if Biden were asked about it, he would reply with an excruciatingly detailed description and analysis of the Clinton administration's foreign policy.
But the Charlie Gibson question really isn't why the sloggers and wonkettes have so much fun with the McCain-Palin-Wurzelbacher-Erik Estrada ticket. Really, there was so much more to it.
@10, actually, with the way this country is going? I expect the Democrats to be out of power in the mid terms. They are already turing on Obama and the stimulus package which if delayed or cut back is going to lead us further into a catostrophic financial crisis. And with Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber out there, you KNOW the GOP will nominate them in 2012....
Wonder what will happen? Hmmmmmm, lingering financial crisis is the best breading ground for revolt or the rise of dictatorships. Picture President Palin in 2013 with Executive order 51 on her side. Think it can't happen here? Think again. Nearly half the country voted for McCain in November and a huge swath of voters did not vote for Obama as much as they voted against the GOP.
If the Dems don't deliver an economic miricle in the next few months; GAME OVER!

It's like a Capra Movie gone horribly horribly wrong: an everyman is plucked out of nowhere to become the face and voice of the nameless masses of everyday Joe's. Except in the end he becomes a pawn to cynical political manueverings rather than a reformer. Call it, "Meet Joe D'oh."

Please please please just keep this man in front of a camera and mic. Let the rednecks take over the GOP and drive it like a monster truck right off a cliff.

@35: I think @24's point was that Joe Biden would've been able to at least discuss Clinton foreign policy. Palin, if she had been pressed to discuss Bush foreign policy, would've discussed Putin rearing his head in Alaska airspace, and how it's gotta be about healthcare. *wink!*
Does this mean we won't see another Republican president as long as reporters continue to ask 'trick' questions? Because like those darn trick questions; there's not defense!
Unless you can learn to just brutally beat your interviewer about the head and neck with their damn questions.
He is media, bad media, but media none the less so why is he decrying media? The memarks at 00:55 are particularly inane: "You can't plan your day, you can't take a pic-nic". What an idiot.

i dated an israeli guy once. he was really hot and he read his books backwards and would break into crazy israeli songs randomly while talking to his friends back home in hebrew on his cell phone and would make me breakfast sandwiches with challah bread. he was infinitely grateful to be living in shithole jacksonville FL rather than israel.
joe the plumber is an idiot and why are we giving him any media attention??? i have absolutely no interest in what he says except for the fact that anything someone like him says makes the rest of us look incredibly dumb. fuck that guy, he's a turd.
"Pajama TV." Where unemployed investment bankers, hedge managers, and account executives go to get their kleptocratic world view re-invigorated. Watch Wurzelbacher in your pajamas and wax nostalgic for the good old Bush days, you corporate shills.
