Anyone care to guess how much money evaporated from that tanker when it was seized, versus the value of the oil it contained when it was finally released?

I expect the $145/barrel oil it was originally carrying is only about a third its value now.

nappy most oil is not sold at the spot price - lots of sales today are higher than today's spot and then they were lower. Maybe the Saudis just found a great way to disguise money going to al qaeda
