MANTYHOSE: "It looks nice". Whooo-WHAT?! And what are the chances of e-MANcipate actually "accelerating the acceptance of male pantyhose as a regular clothing item"? I need to know.
The Navy Seals wore women's silk panties back in the day, to keep the sand out of their manly bits.
Motorcycle racing leathers stick to your skin when you sweat, so you get some sort of lycra, nylon or spandex 'tard to help it slide off. I wear silk long underwear from REI because it was a few bucks cheaper than lycra.
When I lived in Japan (Hiroshima) in the early '80's, "men's tights" were a common article of apparel in the stores. They were pantyhose with a fly built in, and were sold for winter wear under suits & etc as an extra layer of warmth. Don't know if they're still sold there, haven't been back in a long time, but they sure kept me warm while riding my bike to & from work in the snow & etc.
