Defamer Asks....

Posted by David Schmader on Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 10:58 AM

"Remember that humiliating night when you had wayyyy too much to drink, and you started speaking in tongues, thinking every slurred, nonsensical sentiment was completely hilarious? Neither does Terry Bradshaw."

See footage of Bradshaw's impressive appearance on last night's Tonight Show here.

I could say that I expected more from the Bayou Bumpkin, but I'd be lying. I'm sure he'll catch a lot of shit for this from his fellow football commentators this weekend.

But then again, it's always nice to see someone call out Leno for being the hack that he is.

Wow. I find Terry Bradshaw tolerable again. And it's a good thing Suzy Kolber was nowhere to be found.

Suzy Kolber had her run in with Broadway Joe, not Terry Bradshaw.

What's Defamer, and who's Terry Bradshaw?

Don't blame Terry, they usually stock the green room with copious amounts of alcohol to loosen up the guests. Perhaps he just forgot to eat lunch?

It's sad watching a sober person get so totally owned by Drunky McDrunkerson. It's so sad that I watched it twice.

But then, I've always had a good feeling about Terry Bradshaw -- he's always in sensibly interesting suits, not ridiculous dandified ones like Howie Long or colorblind bankerish ones like the other guy whose name I do not see fit to remember.

Sad part is that Bradshaw has previously acknowledged problems with drinking & depression. He's a well meaning buffoon, who has a pulpit to reach millions, so we should hope for the best.

That said, you can barely understand him completely sober. Where is the spoof skit of he & James Carville arguing over things like "hushpuppies" and "banana cream pie"?

He's the Courtney Love of sports.

Wow- despite how drunk he was, I completely agree with him!
