Barack Hussein Obama wouldn't be the first black Marxist embraced by South Africans (can you say "nelson mandela???").

Nuke 'em!

Obama's campaign for president was brilliant marketing and nothing more.

That's Change We Can Believe In!

Charles,
Do you think Obama is aware that there are no more slaves, and that the only slave experience was the Black American slave experience?
"How on earth can you be the daughter of slaves and at the same time still be alive?"

Thank you for not slogging about Gregoire or gay ricin threats.

@9: "Gay ricin"? Well thank god! I was afraid that this was a health threat that could hurt straight people too. If it's just a gay thing...

Seriously, that was not good wording there.

From a first-world country to the rape and murder capitol of the world in just ten short years! That's some real change we can believe in.

It looks a lot like the new Pepsi logo. I was remarking that that logo is extremely similar to the Obama logo from the election.

Charles,
I am aware that many Africans are charmed by having the son of a son of Africa President of the US. I read recently that Kenya is having an uptick in tourism as a result of Obama's election. Obama most certainly is popular there. Fair enough.

But, I don't think symbols should be expropriated. And, this is darn close to it. If this was used in the US, the Obama Campaign would have a case of copyright infringement. Granted, it's a tribute to Obama. But, the person who created the symbol for Obama's campaign wouldn't be pleased and this SA symbol would possibly be ripe for distortion. Or, even worse like the swastika (a 4000 year old Hindu symbol expropriated by the Nazis) eventually and gravely tainted.

Yes, they stole the logo...So what? Do you think Obama gives a damn?!

In today's news: "Obama outraged over small and uncivilized african country's political party's choice of campaign logo...Copyright battle ensues"

I mean, come on, give the DA a break!

Unless, of course, Obama is one of the 99.99% of Americans who are sue-happy.

@25: I have a "sekrit guvment conspiracy" exploded corporate tower from 9-11-01 to sell you.

It is easy to verify that SA has indeed become the rape and murder capitol of the world in just ten short years.

Trying to compare that indisputable fact to the "9/11 conspiracy" is super stupid.
