Politics No One Could Have Predicted

The arrest of Sherry Johnston—Tripp Palin's other grandma—was delayed until after the election due to apparent interference from Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's office, according to officers involved with the investigation. And it looks like someone bent the rules—federal regulations actually—so that Sarah Palin's daughter's born-out-of-wedlock son's baby daddy, Levi, could get a job.

Sheesh. The City Light apprenticeship program is hard to get into - there's a lot of competition, and you have to have a pretty good knowledge of algebra and mathematics. You have to be in very good physical shape as well, although I don't think Levi will have trouble in that area, what with all the keg stands he was doing.
Speaking of keg stands, you also need the ability to stay sober. Having a CDL (which is usually part of the job) means you can be randomly tested for drugs or alcohol at anytime.

Optimistic, absolutely, but given the poor showings for Palin in Alaska *before* the presidential election, I don't think Palin could survive her own reelection.
If there's meat to that hypothesis, this adds more meat to the hypothesis that she's going to chance it and run for President in 2012. And if Palin 2012 is meat to the idea that Palin running will only cause more fissures in the Republican Party for many more years, then I say.. ur.. let the poisons hatch out. Let Alaska's corruptions become the Republican Party's accelerated demise.

ugh why are we still talking about this wretched woman and her family? why is it a surprise that she does what she wants and treats the government as her own personal tool for getting whatever she wants? she is george bush with a vagina. she is disgusting, her politics are disgusting, and i wish i never had to hear about her ever again! that being said - i hope the republicans are stupid enough to nominate her in 2012. it will guarantee a win for the democrats no matter what obama has done. we can only hope she gets shot in the face or eaten by a bear before this happens.

No kidding...I've been to the North Slope, twice, and it is way *out there*. From Seattle, first it's a 3 1/2-hr flight to Anchorage, the another 3 1/2-hr flight north to Deadhorse, where the 737 lands on a *gravel* runway. Talk about disorienting!
(Not to mention there is no alcohol allowed on the North Slope...you should see the workers hit the bars when they come back to Anchorage after a 2-wk shift.)
No doubt this will keep the blow-dried news anchors away from young Levi.
