Politics Dem Dwight Pelz's Take

State Democratic Party chair Dwight Pelz hadn't heard anything about Gov. Christine Gregoire seeking an appointment with the Obama administration (for context, see below), but said, "She just worked really hard for her election. I can't even possibly fathom that."

Update: Another Democratic source claims it's "highly unlikely" that tomorrow's announcement will be very exciting, although Gregoire will reportedly speak via satellite feed.

So like Democrats who ran lazy campaigns were just angling for a job working for Obama?

I mean, yes, I would totally play it that way but then I'd never vote for me. I say America needs a new Secretary of Not Being Dino Rossi and Gregoire has more experience at that than anyone.

Maybe she really wants to piss of Rossi and pave way for the oppertunity to defeat him again in a special election?

Can you provide links? So far I've only read coverage of this on the Slog, and DailyKos(which was covering the coverage on the Slog).

Seriously yo? Commerce? What exactly does she have for experience for this most important post?

She is incredibly not qualified to be Commerce Secretary. Hell she dribbled the Sonics out of town, pissed the Viaduct down her leg, and squandered our state surplus...

Ohh wait.. she might have perfect credentials.

Gregoire will come back with mass money.

She will stand outside the Capitol throwing out dollar bills, hugging herself in glee, with a camera in circular panorama.

Diana Ross will be next to her, clutching her hand singing "No One Gets The Prize"
