Thank you, brothers; and, in the words of that great American poet Ralph Walnut Emerson, you all has my infernal gratitude.

@5 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amos_'n'_An…

This is really fucked up. Why is Canada so racist? Too much immigration or just not enough blacks.

I like how Obama has made us post-race.

Not enough blacks? Is there such a thing?

Oh waaaaaah it's "racist"!

In the time you took to read this, a whole lot of blacks killed a whole lot of other blacks.

According to the USDOJ, at least 93% the roughly 8,000 blacks murdered every year in the USA are murdered by other blacks.

But WAAAAAAAH a "racist" name for a sweater store!!!!

So the name is a bad choice because of the connotations of racist stereotypes. What do sweaters have to do with Amos 'n' Andy?

Simply even linking to wiki for amos and andy is racist

Funny how all these whiny liberal whites in Seattle are always going on and on about "racism", when they live in one of the whitest cities in the USA, and they don't actually have to experience having to be around blacks in significant numbers, and thus are TOTALLY NAIVE.

So Amos 'n'Andy is now not only racially constroversial, but so virulently racists that a thriving chain of fair-trade-oriented South American import shops can be tagged "racist" merely for alluding to it? And a a whole nation can be irrevocably stained thereby?

Was William Gibson being racist when he dubbed a Tokyo latte shop "Amos 'n' Andes" in Idoru (1996)?

In time, the new puritans will drive themselves to extinction by self-parody ... but oh, what a ride it will be in the interim.

Seattleites love to vote liberal and are all for snivel rights, until they get a dose of actual TNB. Then they have to pick up and move until the next neighborhood they move to becomes infested. Section 8, apefirmative action, welfare, etc. are the result of liberal policies.

Checking in with one senior branch of my extended family, I find they gifted the kids & grandkids with A'n'A collections.

I dondoubt the Slog's aspiring champions of racial righteousness know many black folk very well.

The likelihood of being called a racist is directly proportional to the factual basis of one's observations about blacks.
