Ran out to get some ice. Stopped in at Liberty for a bartender's ginger ale and a shot of Maker's Mark. Merrier Christmas.

So if you are at Liberty don't they make fun of you for drinking Maker's Mark? I thought Knob Creek was as low as their Bourbon shelf went.

@2 Concentrated fail. Shit is nasty. Bartenders at least need to mention that they don't have real ginger ale when I order a bourbon & ginger.

It's usually Sprite, Soda and a dash of bitters.

The Eastlake Zoo is open and I believe it is open tomorrow too. It has been open since 1973 or 1974. I can't really remember anymore, however some of the more memorable times of my youth were spent in this very welcoming and
comfortable bar.

Merry Christmas to you and your family and everyone in Seattle!

Mr./Mrs. 18 and 22, may I be so bold please to point out that instead of soda, the preferred method is actually 7up/Sprite. So, in a 5 - 1 ratio of Sprite/7up to Coke, add a few nice dashes of Angostura Bitters, and next thing you know...Bartender's Ginger Ale.

Wait, you ran out to get what?

You couldn't go pick some from your garden?

No, wait, maybe you need a recipe?

I learned an excellent Christmas Eve drinking lesson tonight: never ever leave your ID at home. Not even when you are at Christmas Eve dinner with your parents who can obviously ID you and vouch for your non-minor status. Because at that family dinner, when you could REALLY use a drink, you will be denied by a do-gooding server. Fail.
