I was wondering if the Stranger was going to cancel this event on account of the Warren thing.

In fact, in light of what's been said here on Slog recently, I'm really pretty surprised that you haven't cancelled it. Explanation?

What if Rick Warren uses the inauguration to espouse his brand of sugar-coated hate speech? Obama can do one of two things: ignore it and alienate his progressive base, or, take the opportunity to alleviate their fears and tear Warren a new asshole in front of the whole wide world.

We will see, but the worst-case scenario is that Warren behaves himself and doesn't say anything controversial at all.

And still I ask, why why WHY does my girlfriend not turn 21 until the 23rd????? I blew my chance to march in the inaugural parade and now I have to be a good girlfriend and sit out what looks to be the best inaugural party in all of Seattle.
