"I assume you guys have already seen this video of [an apparently] drunk driver trying to pick a fight with sledders on Queen Anne...." wrote Slog tipper Trey.
I was just about to send this your guys' way, but was beat to it while trying to figure out how to post it to you. Do I just leave stuff in the comments to become a "hot Tipper", or...?
She didn't look too sober herself. Was she calling him "Paul"? Thats so fucked up to think people like that were on the roads. You can run a query on the plate at http://publicinformation.seattle.gov, its just taking forever to return the result (I think its going to time-out)
Let's put it in perspective:
Nobody got punched, no matter how bad the kid at the end of the video wanted to as he followed the guy back to his SUV.
A successful interaction for all involved.

@6, the douchebags are always out there, it's just that this weather has taken most of the SANE people off the roads, thereby making the drunk douchebags more visible.
Unfortunately, it also has the counter productive result of making those same drunk-driving douchebags think that everyone else is a "bitch" - which was I believe his favored expression - for NOT driving drunk through a bunch of sledders down an icy incline street in the middle of a snow storm.
"driving in the snow is a no-no"? says who? tell that to the millions living in the mid-west who can successfully navigate a snowy street. only in seattle would people think it's wrong to drive in the snow.
i'd say they idiots weren't just in the motor vehicle but also standing in the middle of the road and sledding down it.
love this; the guy is a not very bright tough guy drunk who shouldn't of been on the road .
but if ya watch the first part, it wasn't like the honking of horn was aggressive or anything. kind of a warning, like how horns are supposed to be used.
and then again, theres the fact that vehicles should not be used by drunk idiots. so the dangerous idiot award still goes to him.

@15 chicago, and most of the midwest in general, is also very flat. even my midwestern transplant friends are scared to drive in the snowy hills of seattle.

I would just like to point out that on the above listed MySpace page, under the interests where it says "Books," Eric wrote "you mean tha shit that holds my coffee table even?" This is why reading is fun-damental, kids.

My wife tells me I should stop being amazed at the stupidity of people, but I cannot stop getting annoyed and frustrated by the inconsiderate and dangerous driving habits of some people. I am hoping that whoever witnessed the incident, and especially whoever took the video, contacts Seattle Police (https://www.seattle.gov/police/contact_f…). They can determine what actions, if any, are needed. I had a similar situation not too long ago and was pleased with the actions and response of the SPD.
I was comparing the pics on the MySpace page to the guy in the video. While they look somewhat alike, I don't think it's the same person. Like what 29 said, there is a difference in age. Also, the dude on MySpace states a height of 5'10", while the guy in the vid looks taller. In any case, they both seem like assholes to me.

I was really waiting for the car he was driving to start rolling down the icy road while he was walking around bad mouthing people...the run for the car would have been hilarious! Damn! Next time someone should push the car!!!

@37 I'm not 100% sure, but I'm leaning towards no. Bird was way taller than me and I am 5' 10". He was also older than me and I am 32. I don't think he was from Tucson either.

This guy looks drunk for damn sure. Drunk driving on slick roads now are we?? In my opinion that's about 5x worse than driving drunk on dry roads in the summertime.
Oh, and pushing down a "street closed" sign that the city/cops want in the road to keep motorists, not just drunk motorists, from driving? If he wasn't drunk then he's way more of a loser, acting this way
This girl who is with this guy-- I just gotta say, HUH?? She is actually laughing along with him, as he walks her back into the car that he is probably drunk driving home, as if he might as well be saying "woman, get in the fucking car, in fact I'm going to make you get back into this car, we're going to drunk-drive home while I'm in a fucking fit of anger." It never ceases to amaze me how so many girls, roll with macho, dumb guys who are way too in over their heads. How does she not tell him to chill out and then say fuck off and walk home?
Can anyone out there report whether or not he got busted??

The kids are supposed to have better judgment than the drunks on the road so what are they even doing out there? It'd be a one in a million shot but they'd be the ones winding up dead if he hit them or ran over them.
Drunks are going to be out on the streets no matter what because they think the streets are clear. I say dumbasses all around. Everyone here should know better, but the drunk guy won't.
If there isn't anyone out on the streets, unprotected, in the middle of the night there would be no dangerous situations to get tangled up in. If a cop or a rescue vehicle lost control and mowed those kids over it'd only be their fault for being out on dangerous streets. It's the kids that made this dangerous, though it's not like the driver is innocent either.
Does he start sobbing at the end of that video? I can't make it out, but it sounded like sobbing. Either way, I'm going to remember not to fuck with guys who have video cameras while drunk.

somebody should've yanked the keys from his still running car, or yanked his still running car from the scene...soft seattlites waiting until he's ten feet away to call him an asshole again... nobody's a winner in this one (except maybe his drunk descending of snowy hills skills)...
at any rate: he's the epitome of mook-douche
mouche?
good luck to his friends and family; I feel sorry for his kid(s).
uh.. the guy looks under the influence but mostly he is just angry. I can't believe how stupid most of the pedestrians in Seattle have been this week. Walking around in the on streets, jaywalking, sledding, etc. when cars are doing there best on unsalted roads. Again, no excuse for his behavior, but there is no excuse for being a dumb pedestrian either.

Why, we'll publicly mock him for the fool he is. Hopefully, the woman that was with him, if she was foolish enough to be in a relationship with him, will gain some self-respect and dump him for a Hitachi magic wand from Babeland. The Hitachi will probably be a better driver.
