The Art of Compromise

Posted by on Wed, Dec 17, 2008 at 7:19 PM

WASHINGTON (AP) - President George W. Bush knows he's unpopular. But here's what matters, he says: "I didn't compromise my soul to be a popular guy."

You compromised your soul for many things, Mr. President, but nobody can accuse you of being popular.

Those soulless politicians who go around making people's lives better only do it so everyone will like them. Classic example of service-to-the-nation for public esteem quid pro quo. But it's us who must choose to play that game. If we're willing to admire leaders who do things which are good for us, that's just the kind of leaders we deserve. George W. Bush taught us that.

Bush compromised himself for money. Popularity doesn't get you a golden parachute from the White House to Haliburton.

How anyone can meet that asshole and not immediately begin repeatedly slamming his head in the door of a '79 Continental is a true mystery.

He didn't compromise it at all. He sold it.

I just got off the phone with Caroline Kennedy.

She said to thank all the little people who voted so that a rich white girl from Massachusetts with no political experience could demand and take a New York State Senate seat, pushing aside all the others who worked hard during the campaign.

Oh, and if they try and stop her, she'll have SNL do another hit-skit on David Paterson and bust him and put him in prison.

It's really what "Change" is all about -- rich folks getting everything they want.

I'll have an easier time feeling sorry for Mr. Bush when he's STOPPED FUCKING ME AND EVERYONE ELSE IN THIS COUNTRY UP THE ASS WITH A RUSTY SHOVEL.

So in about a month.

Meanwhile Obama is compromising and see where that is getting? A fucking homophobe praying at his innaguration after another homophobe joining his campaign last summer.

Obama doesn't have a soul either

I have changed my mind about Warren and now think, as much as I hate to admit it, I was wrong saying I did not want him at the innaguration. I think it is a good strategy. About Bush, his little rehab tour shows just how stupid he thinks we are.
