Dear Slog,

Really? Less than 5 less than funny posts about a journalist heaving shoes at Bush's head? I expected more from the Slog in the way of shoedenfreude. Ok, I apologize for that. But if you refuse to revel in the incredible opportunity for humor at the expense of one of the lamest ducks in history, please at least post this so that Seattle residents can enjoy this moment more fully.

I am sorry that the Daily Show is on break now. They should do "web-only" reactions to specific things while they're on break. Or, I guess they could just enjoy the holidays with their families... but where will I get my shoe-throwing-related humor (as @1 said, certainly not from the link in this post)?

Chicago isn't that far from DC - take a trip and donate your shoes to the White House by tossing them over the gate.

I think we could shrink the national debt significantly if we put Bush in a dunk tank (the kind you find at a carnival, I'm not talking Gitmo torture even though he deserves it) and charged people money to try to dunk him. They could even throw shoes at the target instead of balls. We could send him around the world so everyone gets a shot. It would cathartic and it would help our economy.
