A ShopRite in New Jersey refused to decorate a birthday cake for a 3-year-old.
Why? Because the boy is named Adolf Hitler Campbell, and his parents insisted on his full name being on the cake. (His sister is named Aryan Nation. Need I say more?)

@31: The parents will probably home school those kids with the same textbooks used by the fundies. Of course you're right about this not ending well. When they turn 18 they will either be as fucked up as their parents after years of brainwashing or they will bolt as fast as they can, get their names legally changed, but be completely unprepared for life in the real world after growing up in their Nazi bubble. At best, they'll end up working at the same Wal-Mart that sold them that birthday cake.

The real idiots are the media, I keep hearing them state it like this "A child was denied a birthday cake, because of his name..." No the asshole parents were denied the service of the store writing down happy birthday Adolf Hitler on a birthday cake. They (parents) got what they wanted all along the 15 minutes of fame for naming their kid after the former Nazi leader. It was long over due; sooner or later someone would make an issue of their names, a school, and some public function that would require them to place the name of the child on a document of some kind, something... Now they have some stupid grin on their ignorant faces splattered all over the news, and they couldn't be any happier.
