Great! Does Harrell have to give her his seat on Council?

It's actually stomach-turning that politicians (or would-be politicians) can get out of just about everything.

What a shame.

What a fucking joke. Doing 20 mph over the limit after chugging two drinks? Driving While An Asshole.

Does she have the cajones to run again?

I hope she does run again, so she can lose with 5% of the vote. This is ridiculous.

This is what happens when you can afford a good DUI lawyer.

@4, me-self

Damn your reliance on Google and it's playground-safe spell checking. Venus has cojones!

She probably also has cajones, though.

I love hypocritical lefties. In case you didn't notice, she was acquitted by a JURY (you know, those pesky peers of yours who volunteer their time to render judgment based on facts).

You all would rather believe shoddy reporting from biased reporters than trust six people who spent two days listening to the facts (you know, those pesky ideas that are undisputedly true and accurate).

Get a grip and get over yourselves. Nobody bought anyone. Nobody "got out of" anything. She didn't plea out like Jane Hague or Bobbe Bridge (or Warren Moon or Lofa Tatupu, for that matter). She went to trial (you know, that whole "innocent till proven guilty" silliness). Your peers found her not guilty. Time to get off your liberal high horses and walk like the rest of us.

I'm with @8. All of us in America (even you) are innocent UNTIL proven guilty. That's how it works, and there are excellent reasons for it. Never be too quick to discount the collective capacity for sniffing out the truth found in nearly every simple six-person jury.

Excuse me. Shut up.

A jury of her peers returned a verdict. You did not see the evidence. The jury did. Please, God, shut the fuck up.

one isn't entitled to a "jury of one's peers"... it's a "fair and impartial" jury

@8, 10 & 11: OJ's innocent and those cops didn't beat Rodney King. A jury told me so.

Small women who have been arrested for drunk driving after one drink can now imbibe in holiday cheer after this significant legal victory!

And as someone who's been on a jury, I know full well what you perceive from the biased news reporting and what a jury sees from the biased information given to it are two different things.
