I did think if everything hadn't gone so badly for his brother they would have supported his run for POTUS. Now I see I wasn't that far off. He took some very bad positions as Governor, most notably Terri Shiavo, that rightly pissed off everyone but those extreme religionists. Now he's coming back. UGH!
“There should not be such a thing as a Big Government Republican” -- that's just...hilarious, coming from him. is he going to campaign on a platform of "my brother is a fucking asshole"?
you think the stink coming off the bush name will have blown off by then? think again. this depression will make a lasting impression, just like the last one.
JEB was term-limited, not brought down by his brother.
He is still very popular with Republicans here, though. I don't know if it's enough for a win, especially if the political winds keep blowing the way they are.
I'm very upset that Mel Martinez isn't running again, though, because I wanted to vote against him so badly.

Between him foisting that ridiculous hickname on us, and George's fake or otherwise tastelessly adopted Texan accent, I really think New England needs to pass some sort of resolution disavowing the whole damn family from their records.

Jeb would make a great president. Give a few years of his brothers shawdow to pass and folks will be clamoring for sanity again - much like how we all voted for Reagan over Carter.
My Uncle Fred is convinced that there is something in Jeb's past that is keeping him from running for national office. He says that since Jeb would have seemed to be a natural choice in 2000 over his screw-up brother George, there had to be a reason behind the decision to go with George. He thinks that there's some skeleton that Jeb doesn't want let out of the closet.
