This should offend just about everyone. Catholic Priests (Gay or Straight) aren't supposed to marry. Is there a BIG Catholic Priest push for marriage? Why be Jewish or Muslim and insist on eating Pork? Why be Catholic and insist on Priest-Marriage?

@2 Just because they are wearing the white collar does not make them Catholic. Other denominations use that collar too. I've seen it on Episcopal and Lutheran too.

This refers to an actual event and the priests in question were/are Church of England.

I love that white collar. I'd wear it all over town if it didn't make people think I believed in God. I'm very self-conscious.

The Church of England (and other Episcopalians) also ordain women, unlike the Catholic Church.

Has anyone else been to the BjornBorg.com site yet? It's bizarrely cheesy in a Red Shoe Diary kinda way, and not at ALL gay-friendly as this ad would have you believe. Despite telling the site I'm a man seeking another man, it pasted my potential mate's face on a woman's body (you have to see it to understand). Horrible!

Okay, so there's a disclaimer at the end of the horrible love video, basically claiming they didn't have enough money to shoot 3 versions of the video and Bjorn doesn't judge the gays blah blah blah. Still a bizarre site, to say the least.

Priests weren't always barred from marriage. The rule was set by the Gregorian reforms in the 12th century because priests' wives were becoming too prominent in the church, pretty much fulfilling a role similar to rabbitzin.

And there are plenty of Jews who eat pork.

@10 there was also the problem of 'church property' being willed to children and as some of that proprty included things like significant buildings (manors and palaces) the church saw it as a threat to its financial viability.

LMAO!!! BjornBorg.com is the best thing I have seen in such a very long time. That video was nothing short of amazing! It reminds a great deal of playing the sims and besides, they apologize very nicely for lacking the funds to make three videos for each type. I'm sure in the future they will but until then i'll be laughing my ass off.

Isn't it fabulous! The best part is when you answer to an ideal date starting point and having selected a "meat" restaurant as opposed to a "fish" or "vegetarian" the waiter presents a whole roast pig with apple and all the trimmings.
However, when I tried to look into this person and actually use the site... well I found myself at a complete loss and I really haven't been so confused or frustrated since voting for the kitsap county elections...

If two (I'm gonna presume Episcopalian) priests are getting married, wearing their collars, in a church, the woman officiating really would be wearing officiant robes.
