That was great.

However, it was two people strongly on our side agreeing with each other... don't know how much that proves.

The poll they were talking about was tiny, and it didn't ask which *way* people's vote on prop 8 would change.

I love Candace's comments on her brother. And 'the passage of time'.

Keith is becomming a great spokesman for the cause, bringing it up and keeping it in the public eye.

Dear HRC: yes, we did your work for you. You're welcome. Next time, care to take the offensive before election day?

I fucking hate HRC. I stopped watching the clip the minute I saw his guest was from that organization. They do not speak for the gay community and I wish more people realized that.

Did any of you listen in on the "Town Hall" meeting held by the LGBT Center of LA? I think you should go to the site and listen. Gay Americans HAVE NEVER EVER won a popularity contest with the voters and hence "Gay Leaders" ie those that get off their asses and do the work, are shy of putting this to a vote any time soon in CA. Here in WA we better well be damn sure we have the popular vote once the state legislature grants full Civil Rights Equality.

look at how threatened this traditional family looks of the grim spectre of gay marriage.

If by "Working" you mean "turning public opinion against gay marriage" then yeah, they're working like a freaking charm.

@3: The poll was only of people who originally voted yes, so a change of mind would be a no vote. But sure, 500 people isn't too huge (though not quite tiny, some polls are much worse. It all depends on the spectrum).

@10: really? No local opinion, news, person I've seen says that there's some major backlash against the protests, just ups and downs like anywhere. If anything, they're being ignored by yes voters.

@10: Do you have any evidence that the protests are turning public opinion against gay marriage?

some words I didn't hear her say: "Children," "identity," "school."

Everytime I hear people talk about prop 8 I hear about how "no one wants to see discrimination in employment , housing, ect." They then go on to state their opinion. Great, I live in Pennsylvania, where I can legally be denied housing or a job because I'm gay. Yes marriage rights are important, but they aren't the only one's worth fighting for.
