There's only one reading tonight, at Elliott Bay Book Company, as we ease into Thanksgiving weekend. Carolyne Wright reads from Majestic Nights, which is a collection of poetry by Bengali women. The book description asks:

How do Bengali women love in times of social transition and political upheaval?

Also reading at the same time is Robert McNamara, who will be reading from The Cat Under the Stairs: Poems of Sarat Kumar Mukhopadhyay. Mukhopadhyay is also a Bengali poet. If you've ever wanted to hear Bengali poetry, you are totally in luck and tonight is your night and you should play the lottery today, while you're at it.

But Paul, you forgot about the event going on up at Third Place Books tonight: Peter Yarrow (of Peter, Paul, and Mary fame) will be singing (and signing books).

"Favorite Folksongs & Sleepytime Songs". 7pm. Free.
