A former New York City corrections officer has been sentenced to life in prison for killing his two children—one of them a toddler who was in her high chair when she was shot.... Prosecutor Maxine Rosenthal said George killed his 1-year-old daughter and her 12-year-old brother on Nov. 24, 2004, to punish their mother for seeing another man.

Some sort of relationship education should be made available to straight young men that would help them to deal with future rejection and being told "no" - especially if they are assholes.
It seems to me that most murders and assaults where the husband kills the wife or the boyfriend kills the girlfriend stem from the essential root of the Man Not Getting His Way.
Pouting and/or drowning your sorrows in alcohol is almost always preferable to committing homicide. Growing up is hard to do but in the end usually saves lives.
