Odd. The Leonids should have been over by a couple days. Fluke meteors are scary.


Also, did anyone else see the one we had in Seattle like that last week? I missed it!

The greatest thing* about that meteor video is that it actually looks like it's daytime for a moment - then back to complete darkness.

*Y'know, 'cuz the list of great things about meteors striking the Earth is so long

Tthe French socialist party leadership link is bad reporting, it doesn't say who is voting:

Socialist party leaders
delegates?????

Apparently they do this party leadership choice in like a one day process caled "voting" or something? Instead of a 13-month battle royal (no pun intended) involving arcane delegate formulas, superdelegates, and insider credentials committee battles on national TV.

Weird, huh? They just vote.

Wow. Vachemente fait.
