I love how there are a good 10 seconds in which the cat nearly reaches a higher plane of consciousness. It's thinking real hard and seems to be about to figure it all out. Then it just says "fuck it" and goes back to being a dumb cat.

You know, I found that to be a really depressing analogy for my life, rather than a cute video of a cat.

Cute, but probably damaging to the cat. We had a cat that was driven crazy, literally, by an afternoon of lazer-pen chasing. He became obsessed, jumpy, and irritable for weeks. Our vet prescribed, and we administered, kitty-prozac. No joke. Then again it was the mid-90's, back when it was okay to do that sort of thing.
