Not To Distract Everybody from KOMO Reporters Who May Be Blowing Goats or Anything...

Posted by Erica C. Barnett on Fri, Nov 21, 2008 at 10:51 AM

... but the Seattle Times has a CA-RAY-ZY story about "radical gay activists" disrupting Mormon church services to protest Prop. 8 and freaking out the poor, "bewildered" congregants. A taste: Unhinged AP reporter Tim Martin describes anti-gay, anti-woman right-wing bigot Bill Donohue of the anti-gay, anti-woman, right-wing Catholic League as the leader of a "Catholic civil rights group"—right before he quotes Donohue COMPARING GAY ACTIVISTS (ahem, "radical gay activists") TO NAZIS.

Now, the radical gay activists around here to have a propensity for wearing little matching uniforms. And they do LOOOOVE barking orders ("more posts about goat-fucking, STAT!") But I don't think that anecdotal evidence makes them Nazis. And I've never seen any of them distributing "pro-gay literature," like the activists in Martin's story. However, I have heard stories about some of them EWWICKY kissing, just like the gross sinful lesbians in Martin's story. Presumably this is part of the homosexual-conversion agenda the Catholic League keeps telling me about?

Fits in with Newt Gingrich calling protesters "gay and secular fascists" on the Bill O'Reilly show. Where's my brown shirt?!?

When gays round up millions and millions of nonbelievers into camps and gas them, then they can be compared to Nazis. Right now they are, at worst, acting like Mormons.

Speaking of things Homo... What? No mention of Obama's massive backslide on the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell?...

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2008…

And hey.... didn't Obama give Nunn (mentioned in the article) a cabinet position?...

Get ready boys... more of the same old shit on the way...

My favorite line in this article came from the president of the Catholic League: "This is probably the worst of what we've been monitoring around the country."

A little disruption and vandalism is the worst you've had? Sorry, but that's nothing compared to the shit that gay people have had to deal with.

Another disturbing line: "The church does take the Bible at face value and believes what the Bible says to be the truth." So, do the women of that congregation exist merely as their husbands' property? Do they condone slavery? Do they stray away from that sinful shellfish?

#3 I am not sure the President has the power, all by himself, to rescind DADT. I think it would be a good idea to organize a campaign to sway public opinion, using examples of heroism in battle by gays, and using the fact that we are less safe, because gays in key positions in defense, like arabic translators, have been discharged because of their sexual orientation.

Also, lesbian film producer JD DiSalva has a fantastic letter on her blog in response to Newt's bullshit allegations on O'Reilly. Check it out:

You know, they must have glossed over the Nazis' superglue and spraypainting skills in my history class, I had no idea!

Conservatives have been comparing women's activists to Nazis for ages now. People have forgotten perspective, I guess.

Well, Donohue ought to know, given the Catholic Church's support for fascists and Nazis back in the 30's.

These comparisons drive me crazy. The only way they get a pass is because people are ignorant of history.

Disrupting a church service, no matter what the cause is, no matter how obnoxious the church is, is simply bad manners.

Wasn't Bill Donohue's pope a real Nazi? I mean a gun toting, American killing Nazi? Puleeeeeze? He's a sick mutherfucker! He has never expressed any outrage about all the priests who rape little kids. He is as sick as his fucking church!

bad tactic - all churches are sanctuary

period, totally, forever, like it or not

it these folks cross over to real violence and extended harassing, they will go to jail and be sued to hell for civil damages

prison is not pretty and I fear any judge or jury in America in a case on these grounds

and, the spokes voice sounds deranged as he/she interdicts all churches ... I love Unitarians and the United Church of Christ .. attend neither

over the top, remember the KKK attacked all the bad churches they did not like

Can we just call Godwin's Law on Donohue and make him shut up?

Oh wait, that doesn't even work on blogs. Shit.
