Um no, the yellow-eyed penguin ain't new. They discovered the bones of a species that died out about 500 years ago, which allowed the yellow-eyed penguin to move into their ecological niche.

yeah, this is actually kindof sad to look at. the only reason that penguin is there is bc humans hunted another to extinction.

man! you got that from the article? I was excited that we found a new bird, but then I read the article you posted to. We found bones of an extinct species!!!

Yellow eyed one? Not so new.

What's a penguin doing living in a Rainforest? Clearly this is a higher evolved penguin that moved north. Dare I call it a snowbird?
