Youth Pastor Watch

Posted by Dan Savage on Wed, Nov 19, 2008 at 10:13 AM

Florida:

When he fled the country in 1999, Kenneth Craig was charged in Deerfield Beach with luring children into sex acts using the money of his wealthy, older girlfriend, who then posted his $85,000 bond days before he skipped town, authorities said.... U.S. marshals took up the Florida Department of Law Enforcement case in April 2007, following leads that ultimately led them to Rio De Janeiro, where Craig was arrested by Brazilian police.

It was the culmination of an intensive investigation, peeling back layers of a long, lurid past, Feheely said.

Craig came to South Florida in the 1990s a convicted predator who did time in Louisiana for molesting children while serving as a youth pastor.
